West Ham United make an approach for Cajetan Lenz.

West Ham United, managed by Nuno Espirito Santo, have shown interest in Cajetan Lenz, a talented midfielder from VfL Bochum. The team has not had a great start to the season, and they are now looking to strengthen their squad during the upcoming transfer window. Nuno is keen on adding more quality to the midfield, and according to Sky Sports, West Ham are considering signing Lenz.

The club has been monitoring Lenz's performances closely and has already reached out to Bochum to inquire about his availability.

They aim to secure his signature before other teams do.

Lenz joined Bochum's youth academy in 2014 and has progressed through the ranks quickly.

He made his first-team debut at the start of 2025. Although he didn't get many chances last season, he has been a regular in the starting line-up this season.

The 19-year-old defensive midfielder has appeared in 14 first-team matches across different competitions and has even scored two goals.

His skills in regaining possession and controlling the pace of the game have drawn interest from several top clubs.

West Ham are interested in signing Lenz. His excellent performances and huge potential have made him a target for nearly every Bundesliga club. However, West Ham are determined to win the race for his signature and bring him to the Premier League.

The club aims to strengthen their midfield by adding a young, talented defensive midfielder who can contribute both immediately and in the future.

Lenz has been identified as a promising candidate for Nuno Espirito Santo's squad. Although he has little top-level experience, the 19-year-old has the talent to become a standout player.

West Ham are very impressed with the German youth international and have already made inquiries about him.

They are planning to take the Bochum-born player to London in the coming months.
