Ceballos can still leave Real Madrid.

The transfer window has already shut down in most European leagues, but in Turkey, it's still open until September 12. This situation has brought back talk about Dani Ceballos, who is still with Real Madrid but might have a chance to move to Turkish teams, something he couldn't find in August.

The midfielder from Utrera was almost signed by Olympique de Marseille, a club that will also face Real Madrid in the Champions League.

However, the deal didn't go through in the end, leaving Ceballos in a tough spot: staying at the Bernabéu, but without the importance he wanted.

Ceballos could still leave Real Madrid.

Xabi Alonso, the current Real Madrid manager, said the situation wasn't a big deal. "He's staying, he's just another player in the squad," he said, without giving more details. The message was clear: Ceballos’ role won't be much different from before, where he played a supporting part.

Dani Carvajal, the team captain, spoke out more openly.

In an interview with COPE, he admitted that Ceballos was close to joining Marseille, but the deal collapsed at the last minute. He also defended his teammate, saying, "He gives us calmness, he knows how to handle the ball, and he's a unique option in midfield."

With the French option falling through, interest is now turning to the Turkish market.

The transfer window is still open, and several Turkish clubs are ready to offer a good salary and meet Ceballos' demands, something that stopped the talks with Marseille.

Unlike France, where Ceballos had concerns about his fit and role, Turkey could be a better fit.

Turkish clubs have big ambitions, great stadiums, and the chance to start right away. There are whispers of interest from Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe, and Besiktas, teams used to bringing in top international players looking for stability.

Now, the question is what Ceballos will choose.

Staying at Real Madrid means he'll continue competing at the top level and fighting for trophies. But his limited role under Xabi Alonso could be a problem in a tough season.

On the other hand, accepting an offer from Turkey would mean letting go of a big chance, but it would also give him the opportunity to get more playing time, rebuild his confidence, and become a key player. With a year packed with international matches, having continuity could be really important.

Even though it now looks more likely he'll stay in Madrid, no one is saying it's impossible for Ceballos to consider Turkish offers in the last few days of the transfer window.

Even inside the club, they won't rule out the possibility of opening the door for him in January if things don't change. The winter transfer market might offer a second chance to reorganize and make a move for a player who, despite his talent, hasn't been able to become a regular in the team.

Dani Ceballos's journey continues to be that of a talented footballer who hasn't quite found the perfect fit.

He's shown moments of brilliance at Real Madrid, but not consistently. Now, Turkey seems like a possible option for him to give his career a fresh start. The choice is up to him: stay in the shadow of the Bernabéu or take on the challenge of leading in the Turkish Super League.
