Nottingham Forest is interested in Chelsea's forward Christopher Nkunku

Nuno Espirito Santo's Nottingham Forest are looking to bring Christopher Nkunku from Chelsea. Nkunku is set to leave Chelsea this summer as he no longer fits into their plans. Although several top clubs have shown interest in him, nothing has been confirmed yet.

Sebastien Vidal reports that Nottingham Forest have joined the race for Nkunku.

The club wants to strengthen their attack ahead of the new season, where they will be playing in the Europa Conference League. They believe Nkunku could make a big difference in their forward line.

Nkunku didn't have much success at PSG, but he made a name for himself at RB Leipzig.

His great performances led to a high-profile move to Chelsea. However, things didn't go as planned when he suffered a serious knee injury, which kept him out for most of his first season at the club.

Nkunku was available for most of the 2024/25 season and played in 48 matches.

But under Enzo Maresca, he wasn’t a regular starter. Even though he scored 20 goals last season, he's not expected to be a key player at Chelsea anymore.

Because of this, Nkunku wants to leave despite still having four years left on his contract.

Chelsea are also ready to let him go, provided they can get a substantial return on their investment. They reportedly value him at around €60 million.

Tricky Trees are planning to take action against Chelsea. With Chelsea preparing to sell some players, several top clubs have been connected with them, but the Blues haven't gotten any official offers yet. However, things might change soon because Nottingham Forest have joined the competition.

Although the Tricky Trees narrowly missed out on a Champions League spot, they will be playing in the Europa Conference League next season.

Because of this, they want to strengthen their team and build on their recent success.

Espirito Santo is searching for a top forward who can help the team reach new heights.

He's specifically interested in Nkunku, who is eager to leave Chelsea. While Nkunku is available, getting him signed won't be easy due to the high cost and the fact that the 27-year-old might be looking for a bigger opportunity.
