Arsenal plans to get rid of Leandro Trossard.
Mikel Arteta's Arsenal are preparing to allow Leandro Trossard to leave the club, as three European teams have shown interest in the Belgian winger. According to Graeme Bailey from TBR, Trossard is expected to depart from Arsenal, and the club has decided not to block his move. The 30-year-old has been on the radar of Napoli, Atalanta, and Borussia Dortmund.
After establishing himself at Brighton, Trossard joined Arsenal in early 2023 for an initial fee of £20 million.
Although he hasn't been a regular starter, he has played an important role for Arteta's team. Last season, he made 56 appearances and scored 20 goals. Despite having a year remaining on his contract, his future is uncertain.
Trossard appears eager to leave Arsenal, as he is currently behind Gabriel Martinelli in the team's pecking order and might drop further if the club signs a new left-sided player.
Bailey commented, “Arsenal have no problem with keeping Trossard, and he could stay,” but added, “he knows the club is happy to move on and is looking at alternatives. I'm told he's happy to look elsewhere. ”
Trossard has enjoyed his time at Arsenal but feels it's time for a new challenge.
With the transfer window closing soon, the Belgian winger is set to leave, and Arsenal are open to letting him go as they are already seeking a replacement.
Three European clubs are interested in signing Trossard. Discussions for a new contract have hit a roadblock, and his agents are actively searching for a new team. Napoli, Atalanta, and Borussia Dortmund are all showing strong interest in him.
The German club, Borussia Dortmund, is looking for a new winger after Jamie Gittens left the team.
They know bringing back Jadon Sancho might be difficult, so they're considering Trossard as an alternative.
Napoli and Atalanta have also joined the race.
Napoli wants a fresh attacking option after missing out on Dan Ndoye, and Trossard fits their needs perfectly.
Atalanta, on the other hand, is looking to improve their attacking options, especially since Ademola Lookman is set to move to Inter Milan.
Trossard is seen as a great fit for their playing style.
